By providing a database list to members to inform them of non-payment information or history of freight/transportation charges for shippers, carriers, brokers and forwarders.
ESTABLISHED

Our proprietary database list was started in 1984, as a value added service to our carrier clients. It is available for use by our subscriber members. The site database is updated daily and is never purged. It is now available online at www.bgnb.com including easy access to DOT carrier/broker authority and insurance information online.

SOURCE OF OUR INFORMATION

Since our inception, over 3,500 transportation companies have placed companies for collection with the collection division of Baker, Govern & Baker Inc. The accounts being placed daily are data entered daily and available immediately for viewing. DOT broker and carrier authority and insurance and bond records are available online at our website. This will greatly speed verifying broker surety bonds and carrier insurance coverages.

*Our database contains a list of companies placed for collection with BG&B during the last six months. All new listings are preceded by an asterisk ().** The number of collection placements for non-payment of commercial invoices follows each listing. If two companies are located at the same address or use the same telephone number, both names are listed, but the second name is indented.
Check new listings against your current accounts receivable. If a listed company is one of your current customers, call your BG&B regional director for assistance. If a listed company is one of your prospective customers, call the 800 hotline for additional information on account statuses. Also verify DOT operating authority and insurance data if carrier or broker online at menu DOTSearch.
